IBUTAMOREN (MK-677)

(GROWTH HORMONE SECRETAGOGUE)

Ibutamoren (MK-677) is a growth hormone secretagogue and a long-acting, selective agonist of the ghrelin receptor. It mimics the growth hormone stimulating action of the hormone, ghrelin. Ibutamoren has been shown to increase the secretion of several hormones, including GH and IGF-1, and produces sustained increased levels of these hormones without affecting cortisol levels.

The increased production of growth hormone allows the body to rejuvenate and repair itself over time, slowing down the aging process. Both GH and IGF-1 stimulate an increase in muscle mass and strength, and a reduction of body fat.

Ibutamoren is orally administered, which makes it unique from other secretagogues, and it remains active in the body for a longer period of time compared to injectable secretagogues, GHRP 2 or GHRP 6. Ibutamoren can also help promote better sleep cycles. It has been shown to increase the amount of time spent in REM sleep by 20% and Stage 4 deep sleep by 50%.
